Iggy Azalea’s hip-hop authenticity has been under a strict lens as of late. Since heating up the summer with “Fancy” and enjoying her success from her album The New Classic, the Australian native has had to defend her rap chops on more than one occasion just this year alone.

While Iggy does her best to keep a cool head and appear nonchalant amongst her haters, that hasn’t stopped the dig to uncover her as more of a pop artist than rapper. Before she proclaimed herself as the realest, she released “Nothing Like Me” – a very pop, Britney Spears-esque record. It is clear that this was early on in her career and she has since then turned a new leaf.
