Suge Knight, founder of Death Row Records, underwent surgery after being shot during a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown at 1OAK nightclub in West Hollywood last night (Aug. 23). According to TMZ, Knight received a wound to the arm and stomach and walked out of the club before being placed in an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

Along with Suge Knight, two other people were injured and taken to L.A.’s Cedars Sinai Hospital, one of the victims in critical condition. Witnesses at the club believe Chris Brown was the intended target during the shooting.

Video from after the shooting shows the club’s guests exiting 1OAK with their hands up, while members of the Sheriff department are positioned out front with guns drawn.

Prior to the shooting, the night was off to a shaky start when Game got into a fight with security guards resulting in his departure.

This morning Chris Brown spoke on last night’s madness via Twitter stating: “It’s disappointing that we as a society can’t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bullshit!!!”

Video of the chaos inside the club and Chris Brown’s tweet is available on the next page.
