Russell Simmons Announces New Innovative Artist Platform In Partnership With Samsung And Universal Music Group

Last night (March 11) at SXSW, All Def Digital, Russell Simmons, Steve Rifkind in partnership with Samsung and Universal Music Group announced the launch of ADD52 – an innovative emerging artist platform. ADD52 will debut one original music single and video each week featuring a new unsigned, emerging artist for fifty-two consecutive weeks.

“For artists, it’s the place to be discovered. For music lovers, it’s the place to discover,” explains Mr. Simmons in a statement.

Selected artists will have the opportunity to have their own production budgets to create their own music videos and remixes, as well as access to studios and mentorship from industry legends. Check out the launch video above and look out a new artist each week.
