Yesterday, video surfaced making claims that Rick Ross was in fear of his life after getting ran out of Detroit. The MMG general was slated to perform at Hot 107.5’s Summer Jamz 17 but for unforeseen reasons the rapper never made it to the stage.

“We had Rick Ross right outside here tonight at about 11:00. When he was pulling up to come into Chene Park, he was met by 100 individuals outside,”  Jay Hicks, Hot 107.5’s program director, addressed the crowd. “He is in fear of his life. He’s in fear of his life and that n*gga is not performing here tonight. And he may never perform in Detroit again.”

Rozay let the world digest this story expecting someone to step up and tell the real truth of what went down this past weekend. “Just to make it clear, I never made it to the venue. Me and whoever this gentleman, we never crossed paths. He never spoke with Rozay and I expect him to clarify that,” he told 99 Jamz.

The gentleman the Mastermind rapper is probably referring to is Detroit’s unofficial mayor, Trick Trick, who took it personal that he did not contact him upon entering his city. The lack of contact reportedly led to 100 people awaiting Rick Ross’ arrival outside of Chene Park but Ross says he never made it inside to see if there was a mob waiting for him or not.

“I never made it to the venue. If this is the scenario for any upcoming artists, don’t never feel the need to shoot your way into any venue to perform,” he said. “You not getting paid for that. Get your money.”

Despite the rumors, Ricky Ross isn’t letting the gossip game effect him. Instead, like a true businessman he’s looking to capitalize on it. “Right now, I’m going to relish in this foolishness. I’m going to benefit from it.”

Watch Rick Ross give his side of the story above.
