DJ Burn One can do no wrong in my book. He used to send me beats back in the day and ask for feedback. I used to pray he’d send one that was wack so I could stop looking like a yes man telling him his stuff was hot and one day people would catch on. He never did, and people are beginning to take notice to the brilliance that are his audio creations. For instance, take this Pill and Trae Tha Truth track “Send One Down.”
The truth is, I had to force myself not to play this out in one night mainly because I have the tendency to do that for songs I really like. Plus, Pill x Burn One collaborations have never let me down in the past. Pink City’s own and the HABNIC (Head Asshole By Nature In Charge) wax lyrical confessions about the blessings that need to be sent down to everyone out here working hard to either make ends meet or make dreams come true. This is good music in the audio flesh and hopefully a precursor to what Pill’s The Diagnosis will sound like in its entirety when it drops later this summer.
