NWA Casting Call

“NWA Straight Outta Compton” is a biopic focused on the the lives of NWA, the infamous rap group that’s credited with showing the world what life in Compton, CA, and many places like it, was really like.  F. Gary Gray, director of the film, is currently holding open casting calls for African American men between the ages of 15 and 25 to play members of the group. This gives anyone that’s interested in a role  a fair chance to get their foot in the door.

If you’re interested, you can start by “liking” this link to the film’s casting call on Facebook to stay up-to-date on audition times and info. You can also go to this website to find instructions about submitting a tape to show off your talents.

Remember, no experience is necessary so everyone has a fair shot to be a part of what looks to be a pretty major film.

Update: After a ton of auditions over the last few months, director F. Gary Gray has finally found his cast. Taking to Twitter earlier today, Gray posted the picture you can see below of the 3 individuals who will portray Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy E in his new biopic. According to an unconfirmed report from Billboard, the 3 actors chosen are Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. who will of course be playing Ice Cube (we can confirm from the picture below that that’s Cube’s son), Jason Mitchell (Eazy-E) and Marcus Callendar (Dr. Dre). We expect a confirmation on the actors’ names to be announced sooner than later. Dr. Dre also took to Twitter to let us know that the biopic will be out on August 14th, 2015.
