Charlamagne Tha God could barely keep his excitement when Nia Long joined him, DJ Envy and Angela Yee in the studio for a quick interview on The Breakfast Club. “Every man’s fantasy for the past 20 years,” Charlamagne said before introducing the actress to their listeners.

The starlet dished on her role on The Best Man Holiday – hitting theaters tomorrow (Nov. 15) – as the sequel revisits the original cast 15 years later. “My big dilemma is brining my new boyfriend into the group,” she explained of her character. “And he’s white. The hook is here’s Jordan who is this African American powerhouse why isn’t she with a black man?”

The starlet was given the opportunity to weigh into the direction of her character which she aimed to keep contemporary. Nia found it important tackle the issues of interracial dating and shed light on women who are finding an appropriate balance between career and dating.

“I wanted Jordan to sort’ve have that balance and when you see her again you see her really trying to balance work with love,” she said.

Nia also spoke on her views of Reality TV stars and musicians taking on movie roles. As a black, female actor she notices that roles tend to be recycled and since Hollywood is a business there are many roles given to artists over actors just to fill seats. She admitted to saying no to a casting of a musician she would not name for a full on a love scene.

“I have actually said no to working with someone – there was a guy I won’t say his name but they wanted him in a film that I was going to do and I said absolutely not,” she said.
