According to the Hollywood Reporter, hip hop legend Nas will be expanding his resume as he will executive produce the soundtrack for the upcoming film, Shake The Dust.

Shake The Dust is a Adam Sjoberg directed film that shows one of the original elements of hip hop, b-boying, and it’s affect on the culture of nations such as Uganda, Cambodia, Yemen and Colombia.

As apart of his duties the Queens rapper will be in charge of the production for the official sound track as well as stepping back into the studio to provide his own original songs for the project.

“What these kids are doing around the world reminds me why I fell in love with hip-hop and how important it is as a creative and constructive outlet,” Nas stated. “After hearing Adam’s vision for this project and hearing the stories, I was incredibly excited to help bring the film to global audiences who need to hear this surprising message of empowerment.”

Within the trailer for the film, you get to see people of the various nations breaking in the streets in front of large crowds and in circles of friends, showing how hip hop culture has impacted the nations. Check out the trailer for the film after the jump.
