Nas released a track yesterday titled Daughters, which discusses the ups and downs and possible mistakes he made during the early years with his very own daughter, Destiny. It seems as if both Destiny and her mother, Carmen Bryant, have caught wind of the track. Carmen took to her Twitter yesterday to discuss her thoughts on what was said,

Im a mother first, and if Destiny is upset about something-that makes me upset.
I think he really didn’t realize how the song would affect Destiny. He should have allowed her to hear if first.

His short coming was humiliating her in public by rehashing the mistakes she has made via a song. Not right.
…humiliate our children on wax for the mistakes that they make. Who does that?

I didn’t hear anything positive in that song.
That song was created b/c he felt like he owed his listeners an explanation. Period. And I don’t.

He doesn’t owe his fans an explanation with regard to what goes on with Destiny, she is his daughter not his artist. Period.
That’s why he addressed. He cares what you guys think about him. That song was for YOU..not Destiny.

I understand that point of view. He should have clearly give a spin of that track to his daughter first. HOWHEVER, I think Nas is a embarrassed as his daughter by what was going on, and he clearly stated that he made mistakes, which is not easy to admit.
AND all the things that he said were already public. It’s not like he told us about some privacy stuff about his daughter and throw her under the bus. SHE put herself on blast in the first place by putting theses pics in a social network.
I don’t think a parent should teach their kids through songs, but if that can be embarrassing enough for Destiny to think about the consequences about not keeping private your life, specially when your father is a public figure, so why not.
Oh and, even If I understand your concerns, you are the one who put a book out talking about private stuff. So maybe, you shouldn’t be so in urge to blame Nas

Carmen did not think about her daughter’s feelings when she wrote “It’s No Secrete From Nas To Jay-z.”   Destiny will be 18 in 2 months, so if she is bold enough to post condoms, brag about quickies and smoking weed then why is she or her mother embarrassed about Nas’ song “Daughter” that speaks more about Nas’ lack of parenting than anything else.

Carmen is seeking attention & the bloggers will give her 5 mins of fame to feed off of…SMH!

Carmen is full of sh!t.  Destiny put her business out there, not Nas.  Destiny apparently was not embarrassed at all by putting all of these things on social media so I don’t believe she is now.  Carmen is just an attention whore, slore bag!!!!
