Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in the Lead With Six American Music Award Nominaitons

Indie hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are coming for crowns this awards season, stepping out in front with six American Music Award Nominations, announced today. The “Thrift Shop” rappers earned nods  for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Favorite Rap Artist, Favorite Rap Album, Favorite Pop/Rock Band or Duo and the newest category for this year, Single of the Year for “Thrift Shop. Although they’ve had quite a year already with their top -selling platinum singles and records, a win won’t be that easy facing off against Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and others for each category.
