Lil Wayne is the next rapper to get his feet wet with the sports world. First it was Jay Z who started his own sports agency, then 50 Cent became a boxing promoter, and now sources say that Tunechi has started his own sports management company and apparently will lead the charge with star soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo who recently played for Team Portugal in this year’s World Cup.

According to the report, Wayne has always wanted to get involved with the business side of sports and because of their friendship first and foremost, Ronaldo was in line to be client number 1. Weezy’s company will be in conjunction with PolarisSports, which is owned by one of the leading sports agencies in the world CAA (Creative Artist Agency), as well as GestiFute, which Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes operates.

The Young Money general and his company will handle all of Ronaldo’s sports affairs in the United States — everything from branding and marketing to endorsement deals. The beauty of the entertainment world is how all the major components like music, sports, film, art, etc. intertwine so well. And especially the players involved.

As for Ronaldo, he seems to be very happy about the signing after posting a picture on Twitter with Japanese politicians, who are all throwing up the YMCMB sign. Priceless.

Congrats to Lil Wayne and Cristiano Ronaldo!
