After fans heard Kendrick Lamar’s “I,” it’s fair to say that it was met with mixed reviews. The radio-friendly single may not have had all hip-hop fans excited but HBO Music Supervisor, Scott Verner, went full Kanye West ran on Twitter last night after hearing what could be K. Dot’s next single.

“I’m sitting here trying to think of ways to explain it with words. It just made me feel so much. It took me back to a i loved so much about,” he tweeted. “took me back to a place that i loved so much about hip hop.”
