We can all rejoice as we’re one step closer to getting Kendrick Lamar‘s debut album Good Kid In A Mad City; he announced during his performance at Powerhouse this past weekend that his debut LP will release on October 2nd.

With additional upcoming projects including an appearance on new G.O.O.D. Music signee Q-Tip‘s album and a joint project with J. Cole, Kendrick is definitely looking to make 2012 his year as he represents TDE/Aftermath/Interscope – we can’t wait to hear the end result of this MC’s hard work!
