The inaugural AAHH! Fest kicked off yesterday in Chicago with a lineup featuring fan favorites like comedian Dave Chappelle and rappers Jay Electronica, Lupe Fiasco, Vince Staples and De La Soul. Curated by Common and Rhymefest, the bar was set high for the following shows when Kanye West surprised the crowd.

Performing a 16-song set including records like “Power,” “All of the Lights,” “Touch the Sky” and more, Common’s Common Ground Foundation in collaboration with Ye’s Donda House reminded fans that despite the headlines there is still good in their home town.

“This festival is to remind people that we’re here doing positive things in the city,” Andrea Zopp, President of the Chicago Urban League, said.
