Jeremih has been taking over the headlines as of late. After dropping off his new EP No More with super producer Shlomo just last week, the famed singer looks to turn the attention on his 3rd studio album, which he recently renamed.

Originally, Jeremih was going to name his 3rd album Thumpy Johnson, but that has changed. Paying homage to his groundbreaking mixtape in 2012 deemed Late Nights, Jeremih decides to officially name his 3rd studio album Late Nights: The Album and it’s expected to drop on September 30th. As far as what to expect? Here’s what Jeremih had to say:

“The last body of work I put out was Late Nights,” said Jeremih. “I still feel like how I was feeling when I recorded that. I was traveling, up late nights, recording all the time. It just felt like every record was catering to… I imagined if it was a big bed in the club, everybody would be in one big ass orgy off of all the songs [on the LP]. My first two albums I was making sad songs. I don’t feel like that no more. I was in a relationship then. I’m single as hell right now. You’re getting the best of my last single years.” [Laughs]

Before September 30th however, Jeremih plans to drop a new mixtape of all of the songs that didn’t make the cut. On August 4th, fans can expect to receive N.O.M.A (Not On My Album), which will certainly lead into the campaign of Late Nights: The Album.

So, what do you think of the title switch of Jermih’s 3rd studio album? Smart move? Let us know in the comments below.
