Similar to many cable networks, YouTube hosted its “Upfront” presentation on Wednesday in NYC at the Beacon Theater. Upfront is a unique way for networks to present to new programming and plans to advertisers in hopes that they will jump onboard and commit “up front.” While all that business is going on, it’s never a bad idea to add a little pleasure. Well, as a gift to the masses gathered, YouTube blessed them with a little surprise. Jay-Z came out sporting new Brooklyn Nets gear and performed the anthem of NYC,  “Empire State of Mind.” Pharrell and Russell Simmons also made appearances at Upfront, and Flo Rida and Miri Ben-Ari (hip-hop violinist) also performed.
