At the Phillips de Pury’s New York Contemporary Art Evening in New York, Jay-Z and Kanye West auctioned off the dismembered 2004 Maybach 57 seen in the rappers ‘Otis‘ video last year, which retails for around $350,000. It took less than five minutes to be sold, and the stripped down Mayback went for 60K. While the Mayback was estimated to sell for anywhere between $100,000 – $150,000, it was advertised as a work of art and not a working vehicle.

A portion of the money will go towards Save the Children, which helps children and their families around the world. “We are grateful to JAY Z and Kanye West for offering up pop culture history to do good for children in Africa,” Carolyn Miles, president and CEO of Save the Children, said in a statement. It may not be a famous painting or a Picasso, but it is art.
