Janelle Monae and Mariah Carey to Take the Stage at BET Honors

This year’s BET Honors will have Janelle Monae, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and more on hand providing the performances throughout the evening.
The BET Honors show was created to celebrate African-American’s accomplishments. In addition to the star power that will grace the stage Aretha Franklin, Motown’s Berry Gordy, chairman and CEO of American Express Ken Chenault, visual artist Carrie Mae Weems and Ice Cube who is being honored as an artist, actor and entrepreneur.
Ludacris, Mack Wilds, Joe Morton and Rev. Al Sharpton will present awards while the likes of Tamar Braxton, Smokey Robinson and host Wayne Brady will also be in attendance.
