Iggy Azalea set the Internet ablaze but this time its all positive. The Australian native is now the longest running female rapper to hold the No. 1 spot on the Billboard’s Hot 100.

“Pretty good way to start July! Lots of motivation to continue to work hard,” Iggy wrote on Instagram. “I’m putting all my energy into black widow now & hoping you’ll love the video for it as much as you all enjoyed fancy. eek! I’m nervous but excited.”

Iggy’s Charli XCX-assisted “Fancy” is hanging out at No. 1 for the sixth week in a row. This tenure passes Lil Kim’s previous record of five weeks with “Lady Marmalade” in 2001 – a collaboration with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Pink that was included on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

There are only four other female rappers who have reached number one on the Hot 100. Lauryn Hill kicked off the trend in 1998 with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” off the Grammy-winning The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. “Doo Wop” spent two weeks at the top of the charts. Shawnna is the other femcee to stay at the peak position for one week as a guest feature on Ludacris’ 2003 “Stand Up.”

The rapper continues her success while she covers Cosmopolitan’s August 2014 issue. Congrats to Iggy Azalea!
