Rihanna fans shouldn’t give up hope just yet on the long awaited R8 album. The singer revealed to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of MAC’s AIDS film It’s Not Over that the project will arrive “very soon. “I’m really excited about the music that we’ve been working on, so I can’t wait for everybody to hear it,” she said.

The pretty-in-pink singer also hinted to the reporters that she might just release her eighth studio album in the newly trending surprise style.

Earlier this month, the MAC rep played 10 new tracks for label executives in New York. She has also been in the studio with the likes of DJ Mustard, Ester Dean, Ty Dolla $ign, Ne-Yo and others in crafting follow-up to her 2012 album Unapologetic.

In a recent meet-and-greet at Virginia’s Fort Velvoir Rih Rih remained tight lipped on specifics but did express her excitement for the upcoming LP.

“I can’t give you any hints of when it will drop. It’s going to be great, that’s all I’m going to tell you and I’m excited about it.”
