Rock-The-Bells-KarencivilRock the Bells is known for bridging the gap between hip-hop’s biggest legends and newest leaders across the country. Chang Weisberg, CEO of Guerilla Union, the organizers behind the traveling hiphop festival have officially announced the cancellation of their last two stops in Washington D.C (Sept. 28 and 29) and NY (Oct. 4 and 5). After having had two successful stops in LA and San Fransisco with big names such as Black Hippy, ASAP Mob, J.Cole, Wu-Tang Clan and more, the promotion company is forced to end the festival due to poor ticket sales.

Weisberg, along with the Guerilla Union team and sponsors of the festival released a statement to explain the series of unfortunate events.”First and foremost, it is with great sadness and disappointment that we must cancel the Washington, DC and New York City Rock the Bells dates due to lack of ticket sales,” Weisberg states. “It’s extremely unfortunate that we can’t complete the last half of the 10th Anniversary Rock the Bells tour. We did everything in our power to save the show. Unfortunately, the financial loss would have been devastating.”.

XXL reported that the hip-hop festival will take a loss of $3 million in cancellation. Luckily, full refunds will be available at the location of purchased tickets. Check their website for full details.
