Grand Jury Will Not Indict Officer Darren Wilson

The decision is in and the grand jury will not indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted on any charges in the killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown. The decision was announced by Prosecutor Robert McCulloch just after 8 pm CST, freeing Wilson.

After the announcement of the decision riots and protests occurred in Ferguson and the St. Louis area, while peaceful protest and marches occurred in Chicago, Seattle, New York, Oakland and more.

Following the decision, statements from both Brown’s family, representation for Officer Wilson and Attorney General Eric Holder were released, in addition to pictures of Officer Wilson’s injuries and transcript that was used in the grand jury decision.
