With the final season slated for a September 7th debut, Boardwalk Empire readies the reunion of Chalky White, Valentin Narcisse and the cast of early-to mid-1900s characters who are currently in the thick of The Great Depression.

A glimpse into the forthcoming season, where no one goes quietly, we witness Chalky’s reluctance to answer to his new nickname given by prison officials and carry out the duties that come with being a part of the chain gang. However, in a bare, wooded area he’s dropped off by a horse carriage, surrounded by dogs and guns, to ensure the deeds are done.

Also in his classically fitted style, Chalky gets frisked before looking behind the curtain and entering a room of women who are anxious for his arrival. Could this be a welcoming party, or the reason for his shackles?

Meanwhile Narcisse – informant and the man who attempted to flip the black community on Chalky – is partaking in a meeting of the minds with Bugsy Siegel. Could Narcisse be presenting a deal to Lucky Luciano mobster, or is he fielding an offer?

While we won’t know what is occurring with our favorite characters until the season premiere, it appears HBO has built a colossal amount of intensity that will carry us breathless to the very last minute of the award-winning drama series.
