If your party play list is missing that one track that makes you want to jump off the walls, it looks like Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” will satisfy that ear craving, according to Eric Bellinger. Mostly known for his songwriting skills, the R&B crooner puts on his producer cap alongside Polow Da Don and Da Internz.

“Most people don’t look to me as a producer; they look to me as a songwriter,” Bellinger told MTV News.  

With a “veteran ear,” the 27-year-old was ready for the long haul to ensure the track would be a success. “Turn up. That’s it; just turn up. The realest turn up possible,” he said. “We were like, ‘Well, we’re not leaving until it gets right,’ I didn’t get home until the next day, until it was daylight. And I think everybody that was involved was super open to, ‘Whatever we have to do for the sake of the song; whatever’s the best look for the son, let’s do that.’ And everybody put egos aside.”

Bellinger promises that Nicki “went crazy.” Set for a July 28 release, the Barb announced on her Instagram that it was delayed until next week via Instagram. “My darlingz, I’ve pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4,” she wrote. “I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu.”
