Elijah Blake - "6"

Elijah Blake provided an introduction to his upcoming Drift EP with the release of the video for his singles “6” and “Fallen.” Blake takes us back into his childhood, displaying raw emotion as he chronicles the interaction between he and his father and religion. Within the song, Blake sings about how events in his early child hood are still affecting him at the age of 23.

Sean Alexander directs the video that captures the gripping images of Elijah Blake at his current age in a field clutching a rosary and a flash to the past where a younger Blake is portrayed in various locations.

“6” is produced by No I.D. and is serving as the lead single to Drift. This personal record is a challenge for the singer, sharing with Billboard that it is hard for him to watch the video.

“It’s hard for me to watch the video. I don’t like to watch it. It’s one thing to zone out in the studio and let out all your emotions out,” Blake said. “But when you put it into a visual spectrum and you’re watching it with other people… it’s hard; It’s gets a little too vivid.”
