It must be the greatest feeling on Earth to have your favorite singer be featured on a single of yours. This will happen to Drake as he is slated to release his next single that will feature Aaliyah. The new single will be debuted at the OVO Festival on August 5th in Toronto.
Having already sampled Aaliyah’s “At Your Best (You Are Love)”on his “Unforgettable,” Drake is no stranger to working with Aaliyah’s sound. Something that will be new to him, however, is Executive Producing his idol’s music.

Although Aaliyah is no longer with us, a posthumous album is forthcoming and Drake is reportedly playing the role of Executive Producer. Jeffrey “J. Dub” Walker, producer, mentioned an unreleased track entitled, “Steady Ground” that will appear on the project. Back in March, he told Tim Westwood the following about working on a special project.

“I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon. Just some special things. Just gave you that, just a little. Because I said, “I’m with Westwood, so I can’t not. But great things, great things for music, period.”

Interesting… As long as Missy & Tim are apart of this project then it should be cool. 40 already kinda channels that era with his sound so it’ll be cool. But her brother Rashad stated that there will be no Aaliyah album… maybe they changed their mind. :/
