It seems like there isn’t a soul out there who hasn’t heard “No Flex Zone.” Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee make up the smash hit’s rap duo, Rae Sreummurd, and the popularity of “No Flex Zone” has reached an all-time high, as it’s become one of the official summer anthems in the hip-hop scene. From Kim Kardashian making it an Instagram caption to Nicki Minaj taking on the remix, it’s hard to let it skip your ears.

Rae Sremmurd’s hitmaking skills and young party music sound that have stirred up whispers of comparisons to the ’90s group Kriss Kross have also captured the attention of producer Mike Will Made-It, who signed the duo to his label Ear Drummers earlier this year. Hint: that group’s name is the label name spelled backwards.

While the boys are basking in the success of their summer takeover, we got a chance to chat with them to see how they’re dealing with the popularity of “No Flex Zone,” their thoughts on everybody’s remixes, meeting Miley Cyrus and what’s up next for them now that they’ve got the hip-hop game’s attention.
