It’s been almost five years since Jay Electronica blessed us with “Exhibit A” and “Exhibit C,” and since then the hip-hop world has been longing for the Roc Nation signee’s debut album. What’s been the hold up? Other than Jay Elect, no one really knows. But, what we do know is that every time Jay pops up on a feature, or ends up at a show, or goes on one of his famous Twitter rants, all of a sudden everyone’s talking about his debut album again and why he hasn’t dropped it yet. It’s quite frustrating as a fan.

Recently, Jay Elect made several headlines for his memorable performance at this year’s Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival and once again, the talks of his debut album are circling around the e-streets. At this point, is it too late for Jay Elect? Did he miss his window? And will people actually spend money on the album? Or, is this year finally the year that Jay Elect should pull the trigger on Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn)?
