Christian-Louboutin-Shades-Karen-Civil The classic yet classy Parisian shoe designer Christian Louboutin has expanded the timeless red-bottom brand by offering the ‘nude’ shoe for women of all shades.

In the fashion realm, a ‘nude’ shoe typically refers to a lighter shade that is complimentary to most colorways from season to season.  The popular footwear designer says the inspiration behind the new closely matched colors is to accentuate and elongate the woman’s legs.

“The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing,” says Louboutin. “They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette.”

Five classic Louboutin styles (including the ‘Pigalle’) will be offered at select stores ranging from a light blush to a darker chestnut shade to offer various options. In addition to the new collection, the brand has also launched an app called ‘Louboutin Shades’,  which allows you to take a photo of your foot and matches your skin tone to the best shoe color that fits.

To download the app, head over to the iTunes App Store or be on the lookout for releases in selected Christian Louboutin stores near you.
