Suge Knight

During the weekend of the MTV Video Music Awards, Chris Brown hosted an album release party for X at 10AK nightclub in Hollywood. At the event, there was a shooting that resulted in Suge Knight being amongst of the victims. The details in regards to the other two victims are scarce but it has been reported that Suge was shot at six times but managed to walk himself out of the club.

“The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media,” Knight’s family said in a statement. “Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he’s human. He’s done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.”

Just a few days after the unfortunate events, a representative from Chris Brown’s camp has told Billboard that Breezy had no involvement with the shooting and is cooperating with the police’s investigation.

“Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred,” the rep explained. “This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation.”
