Accompanied by girlfriend Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown left D.C.’s Superior Court today (Sept. 2) after entering a plea of guilty for misdemeanor assault stemming from the W Hotel incident last October. This deal will hopefully put an end to Brown’s legal battles in the District.

In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed not to ask for any required jail time instead opting for probation, according to Washington Post. Prosecutors claim Brown, along with friend and bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, hit Parker Adams after he attempted to take a picture of himself with Brown outside the hotel.

“I’m sorry,” he said to the judge and court.

Despite the criminal battle nearing a close, Brown and Hollosy still face a civil lawsuit in which Adams is asking for $1.5 million. Adams’ attorney claims his client sustained a broken nose and other injuries as a result of the scuffle.
