Now that Chris Brown and Drake have patched things up since their bottle-throwing dispute at a NYC nightclub last year, many are wondering how they were able to get past things.

Sitting down with Sway Calloway for MTV News, the singer spoke on how they squashed their beef while promoting his album that comes out next week. Apparently, the two didn’t talk about the situation or what it stemmed from, and just decided to simply move forward.

Chris said of the ESPY’s collab:

“[Drake’s] camp actually called me to do the skit. Especially after getting out of jail, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody. I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up. I’m 25 and I’m not getting younger. You can’t walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder and being negative all the time. I’m tired of being looked at as the aggressor, so I just wanted to show my maturity.”

Breezy said of the situation:

“We’re young, so it’s not like [we had] a pow wow over tea or nothing. It didn’t need to be explained. It wasn’t no problem.”

Sway also asked about them being in the studio together, and Chris explained that they have a lot of music that they created together, but didn’t reveal when we might get a first listen to it.
