Chicago’s own Chance The Rapper is set to release a brand new, free project titled Surf with his band Social Experiment before the end of 2014, according to a new interview with Billboard Magazine.

Chance says, “Surf is the first project, which is coming out before the end of 2014. It’s the first Social Experiment project. It’s a big step for all of us all putting our heads together…” We also learned that Chance is working closely with Frank Ocean and Rick Rubin, and has recorded with sevearl artists from the Migos to J. Cole. Shying away from saying much more, it’s clear that we’re in for a treat this 4th quarter.

The creative and unique hitmaker made his mark on the game with his critically acclaimed mixtape Acid Rapwhich came out in April 2013. While he’s remained relevant through several sold out shows and guest appearances here and there, he’s been relatively quiet as far as releasing music goes. With this being, what we hope to be a kickstart to a slew of releases from Chance and his team, we can expect to see a lot of Chance The Rapper and the Social Experiment flying across our computers in the near future.
