OTHERtone Radio premieres a new Busta record.

Busta Rhymes announced today (July 23) that he has level Cash Money Records. During a stop on Sway in the Morning Busta stated that he left the label due to a disagreement in the direction of his forthcoming album E.L.E. II. For those that are wondering, there is not an issue or bad blood between Busta Rhymes and label owner Birdman, insisting that the album is the reason for his departure. A piece of the statement is available below, to hear the full interview where Busta and Sway discuss the decision to leave check view the video above.

For me, with this particular project and all of the sacrifice that went into it — recording the album for five years, I lost Chris Lighty making this album, I lost my father making this album. The shit I was putting into this album, I’m not compromising my vision for it.
