1. Rick Ross – God Forgives, I Dont – 218,492 – Barring some unforeseen events, this album probably doesn’t make it to platinum. That said, Ross can at least stake claim to having a #1 album. And even with Meek’s album on the horizon, I don’t see the promotional machine for this album dying anytime soon. You know, like with 3 Stacks allegedly directing the “Sixteen” video.

3. Justin Bieber – Believe – 35,158 – This, on the other hand, will eventually get to platinum. Here’s to buddy dropping a video for “Catching Feelings.” Yeah, I like the song. So what? Sue me.

8. Adele – 21 – 28, 535 – This is the most amazing stuff I swear I’ve ever seen on the charts.  Ok, maybe not ever, but it’s definitely in rarified air. She’s less than 400,000 copies away from diamond here in the United States alone. Imagine what the worldwide totals look like.

14. Frank Ocean – Channel Orange – 19,661 – So far, so good. C.O. has good replay value to it (for me at least). “Sierra Leone” into “Sweet Life” is pretty damn dope.

29. MMG – Self Made, Vol. 2 – 11,178 – At over 200,000 sold, say what needs to be said, but Ross is putting his people on. I didn’t necessarily expect this to tear up the charts, but it is a good look regardless. Expect Ross to boast about having two albums in the top 30 at some point soon. There also needs to be a video for “M.I.A.” before the summer ends, too.

35. R. Kelly – Write Me Back – 8,413 – Seriously, check this out.

39. Various Artists – Dark Knight Rises OST – 9,189 – I had no clue they even still made movie soundtracks anymore.

161. Jay-Z & Kanye West – Watch The Throne – 3,169 – It’s crazy to believe this album was released exactly a year ago today. A million copies, Jay’s baby girl and Kanye’s new love interest later, it’s safe to say it’s been a good year the two remaining commercially-visible pillars of the old Rocafella Days.
