Back on the music scene with her signature style, Doja Car has dropped off her all-new single “Freak!.” Doja’s latest record finds the musician falling into her smooth-flow and R&B style as she sensually sings throughout most of the track, which takes listeners on quite the journey around Doja’s mind and thoughts. Of course, the rap star could not drop off a new track without laying down two rounds of fierce bars as well. In addition to releasing new music, Doja is set to hit the big stage for the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards as she carries a Push Best New Artist and Song of the Year nomination for “Say So.”

Prior to “Freak!,” Doja Cat collaborated with Nicki Minaj on the official “Say So” remix and released her music video to “Like That” featuring Gucci Mane. While Doja has delivered some of 2020’s most popular records, recent controversy regarding her racial remarks from earlier this year took the rising star into an unspecified time of being “cancelled.” With a new record on the horizon, one has to wonder if Doja Cat will spring back into action and back into the music scene or will cancel culture end up having a major impact after all?
