Delivering 20 all-new tracks, Jhene Aiko has released her third studio album “Chilombo.” The latest entry from the R&B/Soul star includes her previous hits “Triggered (Freestyle),” “Pussy Fairy (OTW),” “Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E) with Miguel and Future, and “None Of Your Concern” featuring Big Sean. 

Jhene titled her all-new project after her legal surname “Chilombo.” When discussing her new album with Billboard, Jhene states, “Chilombo is a word that means ‘wild beast’ — they’re strong, confident and graceful.” Jhene further explains, “Beasts are also beautiful.”

In Jhene’s discussion with Billboard, she goes on to share, “I still love to write all types of songs and listen to all types of music, but Chilombo definitely has a lot more acoustic instruments because I wanted it to be music that you can feel.” She continues on, “You can hear what the mic was picking up in the room. Everyone was playing actual instruments, [and] those resonate with you differently than digital. Chilombo is all of my projects that I put out prior to this combined. This is the baby — but it’s the evolved version.”

In addition to finally sharing her highly anticipated release, Jhene will be taking her talents on the road with Queen Naija and Ann Marie. The Magic Hour Tour begins May 1 and will stop in multiple cities across the United States including Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, and New York.
