Recently, Yo Gotti has also taken action to help Mississippi prisons due to recent inmate deaths, which occurred after videos were released of the inhumane living environments that they were staying in. The rap star requested that the Governor of Mississippi make changes to the prisons now. On the prisoners behalf, both Gotti and Roc Nation later filed a lawsuit against the state due to receiving no answer from the Governor. Speaking with TMZ, Gotti states, “The lives of countless individuals in Mississippi prisons are at stake.” He continues, “We will not stop until this is fixed.”
