A year ago now, last December, rapper and influencer Pusha T collaborated with 1800 Tequila and ten up-and-coming artists to compile up an album titled 1800 Seconds. The successful launching of the 1800 campaign inspired a second album drop sponsored by 1800 Tequila this past year. In December, Atlanta mogul Future Hendrix took his talent and wisdom to seven up-and-coming artists from all over to deliver us another compliation album titled 1800 Seconds Vol. II curated by Future.

Releasing 1800 Seconds Vol. II on December 18, one of the seven artist featured on the album, Freebandz rapper Herion Young, took the time out to chat for an exclusive interview where he expresses his completed project campaign, music to check out, and goals for the New Year. Check out what he had to say below! 

ARIEL: How was the process for you being able to curate a whole album under the mentorship of Future and his label?

HERION YOUNG: “The whole process was magical, a dream come true. We’re already family so on top of that, it just makes it better doing it with somebody I already know and who knows me, and I got love for them and they got love for me and the best interest in me. So the experience is the best part, I’m wit it.”

ARIEL: What can we expect from the album, what tracks are you featured on? 

HERION YOUNG: “I’m featured on three songs, one song with Freebandz Test. I have the second verse on ‘Put It in Drive,’ and I have another song called ‘Losing My Mind’ with Lihtz, Test, and me, and I have a song by myself called ‘Hit Like Mike.’ The whole album hit though.”

ARIEL: What can we expect from you on an individual aspect?

HERION YOUNG: “You can expect it all, ain’t nothing to not expect from me. You can expect everything, the real, the ups and downs, the in’s and out’s. Ima’ give it you raw though I’m not gone put no cut on it. I’m gone tell it to you how you should get it, and not how they give it to you. I’m outspoken, this is where I come from, so it’s real.” 

ARIEL: What’s one thing you would like to accomplish as the New Year approches? 

HERION YOUNG: “Be blessed, more blessed, and success. Just take care of everybody that’s around me. That’s what it’s about anyway, it’s about building something so when you leave or when you fall they have something to build off of anyway. So, as long as I can take care of my folks and everybody around me straight and they have a smile not a frown I’m cool. So I can just say be more blessed and get more richer.”
