Dr. Dre is Forbes top-earning musicians of this decade with $950M

As 2019 is coming to a close, Forbes decided to give us a glimpse into this decade’s top money-makers. The publication just unveiled its list of top-earning musicians of the decade and toping the list is Dr. Dre, coming in with a whopping $950 million.

Forbes notes that Dr. Dre hasn’t released an album since 2015 and hasn’t gone on tour in years. They also not that his last No. 1 single was in 2009, when he worked on Eminem’s “Crack a Bottle.” But because of his business ventures, the hip-hop mogul still came out on top. Some of his ventures include his 20 percent stake in Beats that was acquired by Apple in 2014 for $3 billion.

Other names on the list include Beyoncé with $685 million. According to Forbes, Bey profited from several centimillion-dollar tours, multiple albums and a slew of multimillion-dollar sponsor partnerships with brands from adidas to Coca-Cola.
