The Harlem lyricist, Dave East recently announced his forthcoming album, Survival is set to release on November 8th. It’s safe to say 2019 was definitely the year of the reboots. In early October, East and Jacquees dropped “Alone” which samples “Feenin” by the legendary R&B band, Jodeci.

The visual shows off a romantic side of East we aren’t used to seeing as the sensual scenes makes us even more intrigued to follow the story. Watch the visual for “Alone” here.

This mini film for starts off with a small recap from the video for “Everyday.” In the beginning a main girl is seen alone in the bed similar to the character, Keisha in the 90’s classic, Belly. In August, East dropped a two-song release, Survival Pacc which included “Everyday” ft. Gunna and “Wanna Be a G” featuring Max B which will appear on his next album, Survival.

Jacquees’ King of R&B album will also drop on November 9th, which is perfect use of marketing after the controversy.

Jacquees recently shared pictures of icons on Instagram who he thought also deserved the “King of R&B” crown. He paid homage to Teddy Pendegrass, Jodeci, Brian Mcknight, Maxwell, Jamie Foxx, to Usher, Gap Band, Avant and more.
