As R&B makes a comeback, BJ The Chicago Kid made the right choice when he asked Ari Lennox to be on the “Time Today Remix.” The Chicago singer recently dropped his project 1123, and it’s safe to say this new single will push the album even more into the public eye.

Though his career is still rising in the music industry, please do not be fooled. According to Pitchfork, BJ The Chicago Kid has been featured on songs from Kanye West, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, to Chance the Rapper, and Solange. With Ari’s powerful and soulful vocals along with BJ’s laid back persona and classic sounds, this collaboration was long over due.
