Second Person Arrested in Connection to Mac Miller’s Death

Arizona police have arrested another man who is believed to have been involved in Mac Miller’s untimely death. The rapper passed away September 7, 2018 making it a year since his accidental overdose. The Artist was 26-years-old and a 2019 Grammy nominee for Best Rap Album.

Following a FBI and DEA investigation into the “Self Care” artist’s death, Ryan Reavis was taken into custody. On the scene of his arrest, drugs, a doctor’s prescription pad, and firearms were found. Prior to the arrest of Reavis, Cameron James Pettit was arrested and has been officially charged with a count of distribution of a controlled substance in connection to Miller’s death. Reavis was held on a $50,000 cash-only bond jail and was transferred to the Mohave Country Sheriff’s Office. Pettit, who was charged in federal court on Sept. 4, has yet to enter a plea and is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 10.

The suspected individuals are accused of selling him fake oxycodone Pills including fentanyl, cocaine, and Xanax. The U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna is taking dealers who sell the extremely deadly drug fentanyl extremely serious in order to lower the amount of over dose deaths. In a statement he says, “Fentanyl disguised as a genuine pharmaceutical is a killer.” If found guilty the suspects could face 20 years in jail.
