6ix9ine is convinced that he’ll be out of federal custody at the top of the new year.

While testifying against Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack last Thursday (Sept. 19), the imprisoned artist confirmed that he expected to be out of lockup by the beginning of 2020.

6ix9ine asserted this when one of Mack’s attorneys asked the rapper if he’d be released at the beginning of next year if the rapper was granted time-served.

“If you get time served you’d get out at the beginning of next year, correct?” Mack’s attorney asked. To that question, 6ix9ine replied by saying, “Correct.”

6ix9ine had originally been facing a minimum of 47 years and a maximum of life in prison for nine federal charges if he didn’t cooperate with federal authorities. After pleading guilty and agreeing to cooperate with the government, he’s got a way out. If he secures a 5K1 letter, which is the letter U.S. attorneys write to detail the extent of a witness’ cooperation so a judge can determine how much leniency to give said witness with sentencing, he could be granted the time-served he speaks of.
