The opening track song, “Under The Sun,” from the golden Revenge Of The Dreamers III album, now has it’s official music video starring J. Cole, DaBaby and Lute. In the visual, the North Carolina rappers delivers bars, humor, and drama while representing their North Carolina roots on the streets of New York City.

The chorus embodies the vocals of Kendrick Lamar along with melodic verses and jazzy undertones. “Under The Sun” is a perfect representation of Revenge Of The Dreamers III, as it reached No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and continues to be a fan-favorite off the album.

Fun fact: according to Genius, the song samples The Argo Singers’ “I’ll Be Waiting for You,” which is actually a Gospel song. Besides music, the Grammy-nominated lyricist, J. Cole recently dropped a documentary titled Out of Omaha on Starz.

The documentary is primarily about the twin brothers Darcell and Darrell Trotter and their battles while living in the ‘racially and economically-divided’ city of Omaha, Nebraska.
