A couple weeks ago, (Sept. 3) Lizzo earned her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Truth Hurts”.

The song was originally released in 2017, but has tremendously shot up in success this year. Well now, Lizzo has tied with Cardi B as the longest No. 1 solo hit by a female rap artist in Hot 100 History.

Lizzo celebrated the milestone when it was first announced, saying it was a victory not just for her, but her fans as well. Cardi B also shared a touching tweet to Lizzo on Twitter, congratulating the singer/rapper on her first No. 1 song.

Cardi B knows that feeling well. Her debut hit “Bodak Yellow” landed the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart in 2017.

Both ladies are signed to Atlantic Records and will appear together in the new film “Hustlers” which also stars Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, and Constance Wu.

With “Truth Hurts,” Lizzo has now become the sixth female rapper to reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, according to the music publication.
