The wait is finally over ladies and gentlemen. After the infamous live conversation between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj on Instagram, the two teamed up on the summer anthem, “Hot Girl Summer.” Along with Ty Dolla $ign’s vocals and production by Juicy J, the song reminded us to live our best lives.

On top of “Hot Girl Summer” becoming the first rap song to rank as #1 on the Rolling Stone Top 100, the song also won a Man Moon Award at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.

The video opens up with a skit from one of our favorite social media comedians, Jaimesha Thomas, but we know her as @thatgirljaycole. Other familiar faces like Rico Nasty, French Montana, Ari Lennox, Dreezy, and La La Anthony also made appearances in the music video. Some of them nonchalantly ‘drove the boat’ at the best pool party we wish we could’ve been invited to.

It looks like it’s grind season for Megan and the work never ends. She recently announced her decision to enroll back in classes in efforts to receive her Bachelor’s degree.

A real life Hannah Montana, someone commented, and I couldn’t agree more.

According to Hip Hop Wired, the rising rap star is currently in her third semester at Texas Southern University. While the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ season ends, Megan stated that ‘Hot Nerd Fall’ is approaching us.
