This Monday, August 26th @ 8PM on MTV is the 2019 Video Music Awards. With the VMAs less than a week away, they are still announcing acts to look forward to Monday evening. Today MTV announced Big Sean ft. A$AP Ferg, H.E.R., Normani, and Ozuna will perform. Prior to this reveal, artists such as Bad Bunny, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Shawn Mendes, and more were set to take the stafe. Based on these artists, the anticipating was already rising but these new additions have fans eager to tune in.

Each artist has recently in their own rights been creating buzz in the music world. Normani’s latest project “Motivation” recently went viral due to her mesmerizing choreography. This performance will be the first time she is performing independently as a solo artist.

Additionally the Puerto Rican star Ozuna is making his mark this year by not only performing, but also for being nominated for his first time. Although Big Sean has two Moon Person trophies, this will be his first time taking on the VMA stage. A$AP Ferg will be joining Big Sean on stage as a feature. Last but certainly not least, H.E.R. is nominated for 3 awards, Best New Artist, PUSH Artist of the Year, and Best R&B.

Last year’s performers consisted of Backstreet Boys, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, and more. Prior to the main show, the pre-show will consist of performances by Meg Thee Stallion, Ava Max, and CNCO starting at 7PM. This year Missy Elliot will be receiving the 2019 Video Vanguard Award. Let’s see if this year’s line up will top the main show from 2018.
