Earlier this week, T.I. honored the life and legacy of the late Nipsey Hussle just before what would have been Nipsey’s 34th birthday. T.I. unveils a new permanent addition to Atlanta, Georgia’s infamous Trap Music Museum.

On Tuesday (August 13), T.I. and co-curator James Miller hosted an exclusive event to display the installation alongside BK The Artist, Dizzy, and Quake. Nipsey’s installation featured a red and blue Crenshaw baseball jersey, Nipsey’s Victory Lap cover, and a beautiful portrait of Nip with blue roses in the late rapper’s beard, embedded with everything he cherished in his 33 years of life such as his kids, the Marathon Clothing store front, books, and his partner Lauren London. Images of Lauren London and Nipsey’s kids are also featured throughout the exhibit.

With Thursday (August 15) serving as what would have been Nip’s 34th birthday, Lauren wrote online, “Today We celebrate You, my beloved.” “Today we honor you, King,” she added. “We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life. We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life. Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life. His Purpose still lives on with us all.”

T.I. also posted a tribute to Nipsey Hussle on his birthday. “Happy C-day Lil Bro. We’ve all faced trauma and dealt wit death our whole lives but for some reason, yours hit different,” T.I. continued. “Even still we stand solid,” T.I. acknowledged. “You left an undeniable legacy behind for all of us to use as a blueprint to success. With love and respect, we represent and salute you daily.”
