Kidd Kenn Signs a Major Deal with Island Records

Kidd Kenn has had and explosive year. Coming out as an openly gay rapper, 16-year-old Chicago native got his first hint of fame after his viral releases of freestyles over hometown hits by G Herbo, FBG Duck, and King Von. His name really ranged bells after he released his independent debut full-length project Childish in 2018.

To add to his success, Kenn announced today that he has officially signed to Island Records. No other details have yet to be announced. Leading up to his new deal, Len. Had been seen performing in 2018’s Red Bull Music Festival showcasing the and has received a range of industry co-signs.

Kenn has collaborated with fellow Chicago rappers Like Queen Key And has performed with Kehlani during her June 2018 San Francisco Pride set. With that being said, Kenn is on his way to continuing the transformation that this industry needs so that more queer artist can have a spotlight. Congrats Kenn!
